"While we may be wrong, it appeared to us that the hotel was also serving to house the less fortunate/homeless in the community. When we checked in on Sunday night, there were young men hanging out in the lobby. Two guys got on the elevator and we waited to go up because we didn't want to get on with our family.
The same situation appeared to be there during breakfast the next morning. Breakfast stations were empty, no plates, kept running out of things--overall dirty tables.
I was surprised we were at a Mariott. We've stayed at Residence Inns in the past and if this had been our first experience, we would not have returned to one. Even now I'd be hesistant."
